The 62nd TI-FRIS Hub Meeting / 78th FRIS Hub Meeting (Hybrid event)
TI-FRIS Hub Meetings are held once a month at Tohoku University to foster researchers who understand and can utilize the importance of interdisciplinary research across disciplines and institutions.
Common sense and way of thinking cannot be expected among researchers in different fields. The audience is encouraged to ask questions during the presentation to discuss and deepen their understanding. Please participate actively.

Presentation Title:
Flexible Electronics Beyond Boundaries
Abstract:
Flexible electronics based on organic electronics have attracted significant attention as next-generation technologies capable of constructing novel interfaces that harmonize with humans, robots, and surrounding environments, in contrast to conventional rigid electronic devices. In particular, flexible and lightweight sensor devices enable the realization of electronic skin that mimics human tactile perception. In this lecture, interdisciplinary research spanning materials science, device engineering, artificial intelligence, and robotics will be introduced through examples of flexible tactile sensors and their applications to soft robotics. Furthermore, the potential of “sensing” electronic devices for advancing next-generation sensing technologies will be discussed.
