天然物をいじって非天然の機能を創出する–タンパク質工学と人工酵素研究–

要旨：

Nature has evolved various catalysts, called enzymes, to proceed with myriad biochemical reactions which sustain our life. Humans also developed synthetic catalysts enabling chemical transformations that nature has not found. To merge advantageous features of enzymes and synthetic catalysts, the field of artificial enzymes has emerged since the 2000s. This presentation will provide an overview of protein engineering and recent progress in the development of artificial enzymes. Starting with the basics of amino acids and proteins, we will review how researchers have integrated unnatural functions into natural proteins.
