This project provides long-term support for various free, challenging and integrated research that is not bound by existing frameworks, while securing an environment where researchers can focus on their work, in order to promote “emergent research” that aims to create the seeds that lead to disruptive innovation through diversity and fusion without setting specific topics or short-term goals. In addition, in order to support emergence, the project aims to create the seeds that lead to disruptive innovation by establishing “locations for emergence” where various fellow researchers from different fields can inspire each other and work hard together.
