Evaluation of structural state of food / material polymers using spectroscopic technology and its visualization

研究概要

Polymer materials in the food, industrial and medical fields are used in versatile practical situations. However, the structure and physical properties of polymer materials with hierarchical and complex structures ranging from micro to macro, the relationship between structure and function, and the effect of physical (quality) modification on the structure are still in the process of research. It is well known that spectroscopic technology is an attractive method to measure objects with non-destructive. Especially vibration spectroscopy, which includes infrared and near-infrared regions, provides information on the ordered structure of polymer materials, in addition to intramolecular and intermolecular interactions of the target.
In this study, it will be carried out that the development of the evaluation method of structural state of polymers due to the effects of external perturbations in the processes using spectroscopic technology mainly in the infrared and near-infrared regions.
Moreover, information about structural distribution both food and material polymers are important not only for evaluation of degradation, but also for future conversion of physical properties Therefore, the study will be also performed to propose a comprehensive evaluation technology for polymer properties by visualizing the target by vibration spectroscopic imaging technology and complementarily X-ray analysis, thermal analysis and component analysis.
