Digital-Printed Organic Transistors for Sensor Applications

研究概要

 We develop ultraflexible electronic devices using organic semiconductors and digital printing. Organic semiconductors are soft, light-weight and compatible with low-cost processing. In contrast to the conventional printers which use color inks, we utilize functional inks composed of metallic, semiconducting or insulating materials, and fabricate electronic devices by printing them. The figures show the electronic devices we have developed recently. The digital-printed ultraflexible devices can visualize static electric fields, which resembles unique sensors of sharks known as the ampullae of Lorenzini. The devices enable the imaging of static electricity, the proximity sensing, and the non-contact health monitoring.
